Pigeons are commonly seen as a nuisance. They appear to be stupid birds that do nothing but deficate and ruin the appearance of buildings. Honestly, these birds are wonderful and devoted. They mate for life and share parenthood. I have never owned pigeons before so they are a new expedition for me. I hope they live up to the reputation I've read about. I am getting my pigeons from T & S Acres, in Fayetteville. Also I am getting a pair of Ornamental Rollers from a teacher at my school who raises them.
That breeds I am getting are Oriental Rollers and Hungarian Giant House Pigeons. I can't wait until I have them. I am getting the Oriental Rollers in February and will get the other a few months later. I may also get some Homer Pigeons. Both of these breeds are ornamental, but can fly. I have some sketches of a larger aviary for them. Nothing is definite yet of course.
